About David

Building people, systems, and possibility.

David Lipscomb is an entrepreneur and the founder of CIS Performance Group, the parent company behind a growing portfolio of performance, leadership, publishing, and human-development ventures.

Across more than three decades, David has coached athletes and executives, built performance systems, and led work at the intersection of people, strategy, and execution. His executive career spans financial services, human resources, diversity leadership, and high-performance sport, including service as DEI Director at USA Cycling.

As a life coach, David helps people move from insight to action. His approach is direct and structured: ask better questions, identify what matters most, build repeatable practices, and take responsibility for the next decision.

As an author, he transforms lived experience into practical language for becoming, connection, and performance. Defining Moments™ examines identity and recovery after life changes without permission. Relationship 6×6™ creates space for the conversations that shape connection. THE SYSTEM 6×6™ gives athletes and leaders a framework for consistent execution under pressure.

Whether he is building a company, coaching a client, advising a leader, or writing a book, David's work returns to the same idea: meaningful change begins when we see clearly, choose deliberately, and act with purpose.
